Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to learn about North Fork Ministries. It means so much to us that you're here.

Looking back, we're continually amazed by the way God has written this story. What began in 2014 as a small hunting ministry in North Carolina has grown into something far bigger than we could have imagined. We never set out to build an organization—we simply wanted to be faithful to what God was asking us to do.

Originally known as Nimrod Outdoors, the ministry focused on encouraging men, husbands, and fathers to become the spiritual leaders God designed them to be. Through father-son hunting events, we watched conversations begin, hearts soften, and lives change as men encountered the truth of God's Word.

As the years passed, God continued to open new doors. We realized His calling was growing beyond hunting events and into something much larger—a ministry devoted to strengthening families, refreshing those serving in ministry, and building disciples.

In 2019, God asked us to take what felt like the biggest step of faith in our lives. We left our jobs, our family, and everything comfortable to move to Elberton, Georgia. We didn't have every answer, we had no jobs lined up, nor did we know a single person in Elberton, but we knew God was calling us to pursue this ministry full-time, and we trusted Him to provide. Our family purchased a beautiful 1910 farmhouse on three acres. We began renovating the master suite into a place where weary pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders could find rest and called it The Sanctuary. Alongside it, we renovated the two-story garage into The Bunkhouse, a place where men, father-son groups, and families could gather for retreat, discipleship, and encouragement.

2020 came quickly, which brought the COVID pandemic with it. Construction slowed. Costs increased. Plans were delayed. Yet through every obstacle, God proved Himself faithful. By the spring of 2021, every project was complete, and by His grace, the ministry was completely debt-free.

Over the next several years, we had the incredible privilege of welcoming pastors, missionaries, families, men's groups, ladies' groups, and ministry leaders from across the country. We hosted retreats, family events, speaking engagements, and discipleship gatherings while raising our three wonderful children. During those years, God wasn't only growing the ministry—He was growing us.

One of the greatest blessings has been serving alongside M.A.'s parents, Mike and Cheryl Dozier. They have faithfully invested in this ministry from the very beginning. For decades, they had been doing ministry in their own home, often hosting discipleship groups, inviting people in need to live with them, and opening their home in whatever ways God would use it. In 2022, the Lord called our ministries together.

Mike and Cheryl designed and built a beautiful gathering place specifically for ministry events in Martin, Georgia. We eventually sold our farmhouse to build on the same property. Today, we have the joy of serving together as one family with one mission.

In 2025, God led us to rename the ministry North Fork Ministries, inspired by the North Fork of the Broad River that runs along the back end of the property. Surrounded by towering oak trees and rolling hills, this place has become exactly what we prayed it would be—a sanctuary where people can encounter Jesus, find rest, and be renewed.

Today, North Fork Ministries is about so much more than where we started. We now have the privilege of serving pastors, missionaries, ministry leaders, men, women, and families through retreats, conferences, speaking engagements, discipleship events, and pastoral respite care.

If there's one thing we've learned, it's this: God's plans are always better than our own. Every step of this journey has required faith. Every opportunity has been His provision. Every life changed has been His work—not ours.

Our prayer is that North Fork Ministries will always be a place where people are refreshed, families are strengthened, servants are restored, and disciples are made for generations to come.

Maybe you have been a part of this story in some way. Maybe you are here because you will one day become a part of this story. Either way, we are glad you are here.

With gratitude,

M.A. & Chelsea Dozier
